While I am an ardent Ron Paul supporter on the issues over Barrack Obama, when I hear stories of blatant racism directed towards his supporters while out on foot beating the streets on his behalf, I cannot not help but feel drawn to support him. While Ron Paul’s message of true freedom and liberty and a return to constitutional government is gaining traction despite the smear tactics and the constant parroting of mainstream media’s characterization of his supporters as being “nutcases”, unfortunately Ron Paul will not get the Republican nomination. Ron Paul was the last chance true conservatives had to save that party from the path of fascism it has embarked on during Bush’s reign of terror on the constitution and human decency.
Ron Paul was on NPR promoting his new book “The Revolution: A Manifesto” available on Amazon. Ron Paul was asked if he saw any difference between the Democrats and the Republicans to which he replied no when it comes to a number of social and foreign policies. In a round about sort of way, it appeared that Ron Paul endorsed Barrack Obama because of his foreign policy view of talking to America’s adversaries to find peaceful resolutions instead of embarking on wars of choice. He also stated that he has talked to young Obama supporters who were interested his viewpoints on government. Whether this was a veiled endorsement of Obama or not, it was clear that Ron Paul does not support John “La Raza – Hundred Year War” McCain.I am not convinced one way or another that Barrack Obama is the best-qualified candidate to reverse the downfall of America in general because he is tied to those same forces of corporate greed and special interest groups that have sold us out in the name of higher returns on the stock market.
I am also concerned about Obama's willingness to continue the fake “War on Drugs” started by Nixon that has seen billions of dollars flushed down the drain. The Bush Regime has spent hundreds of millions on the fake war on drugs and actually directed American law enforcement agencies to focus on marijuana trafficking. One thing is certain, America has allowed the heroin trade in Afghanistan reach record levels and failed to require Colombia, a leading producer of cocaine, to eliminate the trade within their borders before entering into a new trade agreement with them. This fake war has led to the imprisonment of millions of Americans making us the world leader in the prison industrial complex. It is ruining the lives of ordinary citizens and their families while the most prolific drug dealers in high places reap in the profits and avoid prosecution according to the gagged former FBI translator Sibel Edmonds.
It is my hope that if elected, Obama will sincerely address the issues we face in America concerning the income gap, institutionalized racism, sexism and the problems with the fake war on terror and the fake war on drugs. Perhaps he will be a uniter but only time will tell and it will be no small task evident by the treatment of his campaign workers by the so-called uneducated blue collar workers Hillary Clinton has rallied under the banner of racism and classicism as if she really identifies with them. Truly, education should be the first issue among many that Obama will have to make a priority if he is elected president. Some how I think the real issues of government corruption will continue to plague us all until the cancerous legions are removed.
